My Four Month Old Little Miss

I still can not believe that she is here, and that it has already been four months. When she wakes up and she sees my face, or B's, she gives the biggest, brightest smile I have ever seen. Her giggles are starting to come more frequently and much easier, and it is the greatest sound that I have ever heard. She loves to stand and although she is quiet and doesn't coo much she takes everything in and is always looking at who is talking or what is making the noises closest to her.

I still look at her and can't believe she is real. I hold her close and try to take in every detail of her little body and how it fits so perfectly snuggled into my arms. I am not afraid for her to get bigger, I look forward to each day as she grows right before my eyes. I dream of our future as a family and the fun we will have as we go on our adventures and even as we stay home in the quit and mundane.

I so often I look into her big blue eyes and see her papa and it melts me. I love that he is who I see when I look at our little human.

I pray for her to be compassionate, humble, discerning and passionate. God has a plan for her life, and it is an honor, even only after four months, to be her human... her momma.

And Then There Were Five | Eagen Family Photographer

This session was taken in October and we delayed the sneak peek so they could share the exciting news of their new addition with family and friends! I have captured these adorable twins since birth and it is such a privilege to continue on the exciting journey as the family grows and they become a big sister and big brother! Mom had some creative Pinterest inspired ideas so we had lots of fun around their yard even though it was a bit chilly for a Minnesotan October.

Welcoming Home Trey | Minneapolis Adoption Photographer

There are very few thing that bring so much joy to my heart like adoption. Being able to capture a portion of these family's long stories is such an honor. I had the opportunity to go to the airport and welcome home Trey from Haiti. They rode down the escalator to a welcome party of his new siblings, grandma and grandpa and so many friends. He took it all in so well, and just looked at everyone with his big brown eyes. After lots of hugs, welcoming smiles and tears of joy they all headed home, to Trey's new forever home. A Monday evening well spent, if I do say so myself.

V is 6 Months | Family Lifestyle Photographer

I had the privilege of being welcomed into this family's home to capture little Miss V's 6 month cuteness. She has gotten so big and even more adorable since I last spent the day with this family. It was such a joy to be in their home where big brother feels comfortable and V knows that she is safe and sound. I got to watch how big brother wakes up little sister, this morning he used his train whistle while mom sang a morning song, she was all smiles. Then downstairs for some tummy time while big brother made a pretend pie for us to eat. We finished the session with some simple and casual portraits of this beautiful family, all smiles!

A morning spent at the park with Mister B. He loves his trucks, running, picking flowers and then placing them nicely back, and even more running! His silly walk is so silly and his giggle is contagious. It was a morning well spent, in the beautiful Minnesota June weather, capturing B turning two along with mom, dad and baby sister.

Check out that smile, those teeth and that hair! Is he not adorable? I think, yes. Momma brought everything to entertain and to make this little guy feel at home. But honestly, what did the trick was good old mom and dad tricks. Flying through the air, upside down hugs and lots of big toddler kisses (aka open mouth to moms kissing face) make for the greatest smiles. He is a dolly.

This is the best part of my job. I love babies especially when they are less then ten days old! I got the privilege of being welcomed into their home to capture a piece of the beginning of this little ones life. To see the love, and even passion they have for this little life is so inspiring and encouraging. I can only hope I captured the feeling that this momma and dad have for their beautiful little girl.

Easter Egg Adventures | Life

As many of you are aware I nanny, it is wonderful to have the security of the money but as my business has been growing I need more time to edit and all the fun of business. However I can't seem to pull away from my little buddy. I have been with W since he was 2 months and now he is 2 and a half. The way he calls me "nanny" or now "tissa" melts my heart and his hugs, kisses and I love you's make my day. So on to my Easter-ness in this post. W and I had some fun with eggs this week. I am trying to better myself in my craft, so I took my camera along to document. Here is my sharing of our egg adventures:
