My Little Love is 6 Months Old!

May these words be the first to find your ears:

Little Miss E Is 5 Months Old

I edited these and write this as she sleeps in the room next to me, it is her room now. I have a big 5 month old, with her own room. The first night she spent over there my heart weighed heavy. She seemed to far away. My ears were tuned for any peep made, and those first couple of nights she slept right through until day break, and so did I. The sleep is something to be grateful for, don't get me wrong but even after a month I lay in bed readying my self for sleep and I miss her.

I had so many people during my pregnancy tell me to soak it all in, specifically because they missed it and wished for it back. I smiled politely and roled my eyes internally because I weighed 20+ pounds more, couldn't get through grocery store aisles if someone else was in them, and couldn't sleep on my back, stomach or even my right side, so no thank you lady, I won't be wishing this back. (Side note: through all of that was the most amazing adventure and I wouldn't change a moment of it for the world). Do not get me wrong I don't agree with those crazies, even still but I do miss one thing, and this month is the first month it has really hit me. I miss her nearness. She was always there. I never had to leave her with my momma or B when I go off to sessions or weddings, she would just come with. Even simpler I never had to sleep without her near. I am so glad I get to kiss her toes, snuggle into those big chubby cheeks, and see her smiles. But let me tell you leaving her behind brings tears to my eyes every time.

This past month I heard two of the most beautiful noises I have ever heard. The first was at the beginning of the month, I woke up to this little voice in the other room. It made me smile and I just stood outside still groggy and sleepy but my heart was singing at the noise coming from that bed. We most often hear in in the morning or when she has a hand in her mouth but she also coos and squeaks while I play worship music in the car. It is pretty adorable. The second noise I heard only last week as I was tickling neck. She gave me the biggest belly laugh that was full of tickles and joy. Moment of honesty, I cried. I literally burst out into tears of pure joy, it was such a moment. The best of moments so far.

So that is pretty much month five! Lots of emotions, so much love and tons of fun to spend everyday with E and welcome papa home from work with big smiles and lots of smooches.

This was a perfect May Saturday at Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria, MN. Jenna and Andrew got married outside surrounded by friends and family that adore them and are so thrilled for their union! Ayla, mom, dad and big brother, Asher, came to the studio Saturday to capture Ayla being one! I have had the honor to capture her since her birth and I am so thankful to be able to watch these little ones grow and capture these photos for mom and dad to cherish forever. Ayla was all smiles for the entire session, it was perfection.

I spent my Thursday morning with this beautiful family and their beautiful little lady. I have been to their home twice. The first time was to capture their beautiful twins, the second was to capture a secret of this little arrival and now this beautiful little one. She was so awake and ready for some photos. It was a pleasure, yet again, to capture this beautiful family.

These are my three beautiful nieces. The youngest, Madelyn, stays with my mom on Fridays so E and I try to visit every Friday for a little bit. Madelyn loves babies and is so sweet and in love with both her new cousins. The other two are so big, when I look at the oldest all I see is a big blue eyed baby doll, my parents first grandchild, and the second I see a quiet little baby who was adored by her big sister. I haven't photographed them in over two years, so it was a joy to have them in the studio and get some new photos of how big they are. I can't wait to hang my favorite on our photo wall!

Oh My Word These Two Boys | Minneapolis Twin Photographer

These boys just fill me with smiles every time I am with them. I have the honor of being their second cousin and needless to say I adore them. They are perfect little models, I mean it, are they not the cutest? They will be one years old soon and I just can't believe it. I remember going to visit them as they were being discharged from the NICU and seeing those teeny babies in their car seats... now we can barely lift them while they are in those same car seats! They change so much each time I see them, looking less like twins and more like two adorable little men. They have such sweet personalities and are so different from one another. It is so fun! They melt me, can you tell?

This is my nephew, he is a joy. He has the cutest voice, the most infectious smile and giggle and is getting so big, so fast. We wanted to capture his handsome 3 month old face and all that he can do! He likes to stand while holding moms hands, he is so good at tummy time and rolling over. His is so curious and so attentive to everything that is going on around him. Whenever he sees Evie (like really sees her) he chats her up, and she just looks at him - it is so funny.

I was so thrilled to finally meet this little lady. I shot mom and dad's wedding a few years ago, had the pleasure of capturing her while she was being created in her momma's tummy and have seen tons of photos through Facebook of this joyful and beautiful little one. She is so full of joy, smiles and makes mom and dad beam. What a beautiful little miracle and testimony to how great our God is and how amazing His plans are. Thank you for letting me capture her!
