Village Children | 2013 India Adventures

Every thing about being here is a learning, eye opening, life altering experience. When returning home from the previous two trips I went home feeling so sure that the things I felt convicted about and learned while sitting in these beautiful peoples mud huts or one room brick homes, walking their dirt roads and sitting with them, would stick and stay around when you return to America. I think the thing that is impossible to understand as a blessed America girl is the contentment and joy they have. If you do not know comfort, you don't long for your down comforter and comfy bed. If you don't know convenience you don't take for granted immediate warm water a the turn of the faucet or the coolness of a refrigerated coke or even water. If we didn't know it we wouldn't miss it, they don't. They know what they have and are grateful for every inch of it. And because of this it is just simpler, life is simpler.
The photos below are from the children's team yet again. We tagged along as they ventured into a small village outside of Guntur. The children were a little bit wearer here of the white skinned people but by the end they could not wait to shake our hands and ask our names. Yet another great evening spent with little ones. Feeling blessed all over again.
