When you take portraits of Indians they give you the grumpiest face they can muster. EVERY TIME... without fail. So we have mastered (in reality butchered) the Telugu way to say smile. "No-vu" is how would spell it if it were English. Now the pastor and his family below gave the grumpy look when we told them to stand in front of their beautiful church for a portrait. One word, a completely butchered way of saying SMILE! and they smiled so big and got so excited. What do we take from this, even if you say it wrong they know what I am trying to say... and it works every time.
