My One Month Old Babe

Our little E is one month old! This month has been so full of new things. We have met the challenges of bath time, diapers galore, midnight feedings, some hours of tears from this sweet little soul, learning to calm her, love her and get her through these moments, watching her sleep, kissing her chubby cheeks, watching her smile as her tummy is full, and seeing her grow daily. We have had adventures to the grocery store, to see grandma and grandpa up north, to church and to close friends houses.
There have been times that have been tough. There are have been tears I never expected to shed. But everyday we are learning to fill her needs and everyday she is growing and it becomes easier. This tiny human is worth it. When I hold her as she sleeps and she snuggles into my arms I feel complete. She has brought out a new side of B that makes me fall more and more in love with him. I see this new adventure and get so excited for what it will continue to bring.
I have taken iPhone pictures daily and many of them can be seen on my instagram : @carissachristine but I have also had my big camera on hand. I think in ten years the pictures that will mean the most are those "instant" ones from my phone and the ones that were taken of our daily life with the camera. So I have captured our car drive up north, a picture of her in her Sunday best (which no longer fits her because she has grown), some of our guests, our sad puppy is also featured, and our snuggle times together. The last photos were taken on the 30th, when she was officially one month old!
Little work has been getting done. It seems that every time I have planned to sit and work on stuff I have been happily interrupted by a little cry that needed to be calmed. So thank you for the patience that has been much needed in returning emails and getting things a little more updated around here.
