Hyderabad Zoo | 2013 India Adventures

We started our journey home by stopping in Hyderabad for the weekend. And with that comes finding some stuff to do to pass the time away. So we went to the zoo! One would think that it would be "dirty" (India isn't the cleanest place), but it was lovely, clean, and resort like. The animals are all really close (except the elephants) and it was a blessing to be able to take the morning and just walk around with B, Stanley, Courtney and I. Our first sight was a deer that was just walking the trails, then the birds, then the nocturnal animals and then off to the big ones... lions, tigers, leopards and bears! There really wasn't too many apes, I think by the time we got there it was too hot, and they were sleeping in their caves. This was very disappointing since they are my favorite. The elephants were grazing so we saw them from afar, they were still beautiful and amazing! The leopard caretaker said he would take us into the back for some extra rupees... so we could see the tigers and other cats closer. We kindly turned him down, because we aren't rolling in the dough, and because we saw them closer then we ever had already. We refreshed with a Thumbs Up, and finished our walk around. It was a wonderful way to spend one of our last days in India.
